Looking for Islamabad Hotels is not going to be that hard because there are only a handful of hotels located in the city. However, it is important to know what the hotels have to offer so you know which hotels to stay at and which ones to avoid.

Islamabad Serena Hotel

One thing about this hotel that makes it stand out from other hotels, especially hotels in the United States, is that they offer day rates. Day rates are cheaper than nightly rates because guests only need the room for a few hours, usually while they are waiting for a plane to leave. The room charge also includes full access to a mini-bar inside of your room, but all that the mini-bar comes stocked with is juice, water and soda. Rooms start around $300 a night.

Best Western Regency Hotel

Most people from the United States wouldn’t hesitate to stay in a Best Western because back in the United States they are decent hotels, for a decent price. However, while you are visiting Islamabad, you want to stay away from this hotel. Not only is the food horrible, the food isn’t cooked all of the way, and the buffet area is not very clean. The service also is not the best at this hotel. Rooms will run you an average of $122 a night.

Ambassador Hotel

If you are looking for a decent hotel to stay in for a great price, then the Ambassador is the perfect choice for you. The hotel is not an outstanding hotel, but it is clean and the staff is friendly. The hotel is only 15-minutes away from the airport and is located near the shopping centers and area attractions. Rooms will average around $24 a night.

Pearl Continental Hotel

The first thing that you will notice about this hotel is how grand it looks from the outside, but that is nothing compared to what the inside looks like. When you step through the doors, you will think you have entered into a palace. Inside the hotel, you will have access to numerous shops, but they are a bit on the pricey side. The hotel is located in the center of the city, so you are close to other shopping areas and attractions. Rooms will cost around $132 a night.

Islamabad Marriott Hotel

Many people find this hotel to be a decent hotel, but for the price, they prefer to stay in the Serena. At the Marriott, you will have to pay in advance for Internet access, so you have to estimate how many hours you will need. The hotel does have a bar on location, which is nice for foreigners who enjoy a cold beer or even a nice mixed drink. The restaurants are decent; just stay away from the one in the lobby for breakfast. The hotel is nice, but not really worth the high price. Here you can expect to pay around $205 a night for your room.
