Hotel Bukhara - Old Inturist

Before the recent construction of the New Inturist Hotel, this was the flagship of Soviet Uzbekistan in Bukhara. It is adjacent to the New Inturist. It has an outdoor disco on the top floor, which operates late Spring to early Fall. It is the destination of those who do not want to pay the cover charge at the New Inturist's disco. It is a cheaper alternative to the New Inturist if you are booking for a large group, but also not recommended. The rooms will be clean, but spartan. Hot water is usually available. This hotel is not safe for women travelling alone. The desk staff will give out your phone or room number to those looking to hire a prostitute.
