Knyazhy Gory is a ski center in Novvy Ust-Kamenogorsk. This ski center is one of the best in Kazakhstan. Ski equipments are available to tourists on rent. The slopes at the ski center are well prepared for tourists. They are quite wide and the snow cover is very good all over the ski center. Be sure that you have the appropriate cold gear with you and that you are well covered while skiing. This is a must do in Ust-Kamenogorsk, especially if you are a ski enthusiast.

2. Ust-Kamenogorsk Shopping

Shopping at Ust-Kamenogorsk can be a real adventure. There are several malls in Ust-Kamenogorsk that offer various goods from all over Kazakhstan. Apart from malls, they also have shopping bazaars, like the Chinese Bazaar, Daniel’s market and the Green Bazaar. They are located close to the heart of the city. In the Chinese bazaar you will find several items and antiques from China and nearby countries for a bargain. In the Green Bazaar you can find some authentic Kazakhstan items that you can buy as souvenirs.

3. Sibinskie Lakes

Situated close to Ust-Kamenogorsk, the Sibinskie lakes are a total of five lakes surrounded by granite mountains which are together called the "Sibinskie Lakes." These tranquil lakes are must visit, and a great place to be to relax and rejuvenate. You can either go trekking or hiking in the mountain ranges nearby. Swimming is also possible in from June to August in these lakes.

4. Day out at the Banya

Banyas are local bathhouses that came into existence during the Russian era. They are where local citizens used to wash up and spend their day at the sauna, beating themselves up with birch leaves. There are separate shower rooms for male and female guests.  The high temperature in the Russian bath is said to have several positive effects on one’s health. This is a perfect place to hang out after a day of adventure.

5. Ice Hockey at Ust-Kamenogorsk

Another must do is watching the ice hockey at the ice rinks in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Ust-Kamenogorsk is famous for its ice hockey team Kazzinc-Torpedo. This team has some of the Alma mater of the NHL players, and is one of the famous teams in the world.
