There are many good bars and discos in Bogota. Most of them are located in the so-called Zona Rosa around Carerra 11/13, Calle 80/86. Other good places can be found at Carerra 5 with Calle 25. Although a rather safe area do not walk home, but take a taxi.

This gay bar is located on Calle 22 and Carerra 7. Quite expensive drinks. Popp: It sucks

Cine Bar Paraiso [edit]

For two dollars you can see a film here outside of the weekend. Quite a few films are subtitled so you have a good chance of seeing and understanding a Hollywood film here.

Cine Bar Lumiere [edit]

Airplane style food, drinks and seats. Cheap during the midweek 4$ on weekends and holdiays.

Tropical Cocktails [edit]

Is a bar where you can get frozen cocktails. Usually the bar plays house , ambient and light trance.  The one at Atlantis Mall in the zona Rosa give one a good place to people watch.

Apolo's men [edit]

This is a women only bar, with topless men dancing and stuff.

Teatro Colon [edit]

Great 19-th century building - operas, ballets, plays and concerts.

El Viejo Aleman [edit]

This place is run by an aged local lady who plays tango records. Open only on Thursdays and Saturdays. Address: Cra 5 y Calle 13-14.

Salome [edit]

Address: Carrera 14A No 82-16. Salsateca playing mostly son and salsa. Recommended.

Mister Babilla [edit]

In this place different types of music is played. Located on Calle 82, next door to the Hotel Boheme.

Teatro Nacional [edit]

The Fundación Teatro Nacional groups different theater halls on which at any time you might find several plays being presented. Tickets start from 10 usd.

Cinemateca Distrital [edit]

Shows foreign and national films. Its downtown, in the Jorge Eliecer Gaitan Theater.
