Museo de Arte Moderno - MAMBO [edit]

The museum has existed since 1955 but was loacted at different places. It has been at the present address since 1985. With 4 floors of modern art, rhe surface of the museum is over 500 sq. meters. The musuem has a good collection of works of colombian artists such as Botero, Manzur, Grau, Villamizar, Negret, Alvaro Barrios, Ana Mercedes Hoyos and María de la Paz Jaramillo. more..

Museo de Bogotá [edit]

This museum runs and organizaes exhibits on urban themes and urban life in Bogotá. Its main branch is downtown, in the Planetarium, but it also has halls in the Bogotá Archives and in the different public libraries. more..

Museo 20 de Julio [edit]

This Museum was the starting place of the nine-year struggle for independence began in 1810.

Museo Arqueologico [edit]

This museum exhibits a nice collection of precolombian pottery in a restored mansion of the Marques de San Jorge.

Museo Colsubsidio [edit]

Museo del Oro [edit]

Containing one of the world’s richest collections of gold and emerald jewelry and artifacts of the pre-Columbian era this museum is an absolute highlight. It is located on the premises of the Banco de la Republica. The museums exhibits more than 30.000 pieces of gold work.

Planetary [edit]

Located in the Parque de la Independencia. Open from Tuesday - Sunday from 11 am - 3.30 pm.

Museo de Arte del Banco de la Republica [edit]

Inaugurated in 2004, next door to the Museo Botero, it houses the bank's art collection and different art exhibits throughout the year. Opens Mondays through Saturdays -except Tuesdays- from 9 am to 7pm. Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. more..

Museo Botero - Colección Botero [edit]

This museum houses an international art collection which was donated to the Banco de la Republica by Fernando Botero, a colombian painter, alongside some pieces of his own making. Opens Mo-Sa from 9 am to 7 pm. Sundays from 10 am - 5 pm. more..
