Innumerable places have set meals for little money. One of the classical ways to find out which of them are good is just to follow the crowd. Go in and see what the people are eating. There are a number of good vegetarian, Chinese and Italian restaurants in town. We are eagerly awaiting your recommendations as well.

Carbon de Palo [edit]

For you meat eaters out there. This place serves the best meat in town (plus fish and chicken dishes for non red meat eaters)

Huge portions with lots of side dishes (included with the main dish)

Very nice amosphere (a nice colombian feel) and excellent service. The price is not cheap for local standards but still qute affordable in terms of dollars and definitively worth the $$.

they have two locations. one very close to 70th street and Carrera Septima (the addres must be somnething like Carrera 6 # 70-something)

The second one (i think their main restaurant) its on the North East corner of Avenida 19 and Calle 106 (19th avenue and 106th street!) more..

Great place for vegetarian downtown...daily meals for reasonable prices where you decide what and how much you want.

Good variety of Asian food, they have two additional restaurants, one on the Parque 93 and the other in Chapinero.

This small restaurant is also the base of a design bureau. The fusion food served here is an amazing mix of the most delicious Colombian flavors. Coastal recipes meets traditional fruit desserts, along with some delicacies that are exotic even for the locals. I have lived here for a long time and this place is a revelation. more..

Andres Carne de Res [edit]

This place is one of the best restaurants you can find in Bogota. At night, you go there early, get a table, eat and then the night starts. It becomes an amazin club at night with all kind of danceable music, salsa, vallenato, reguetton...If you go to Bogota you shouldn't miss this place. more..

If you want to take it easy and have a hamburger,  go to El Corral. There are 50 or so restaurants in Bogotá, and they much much better than the giant competitor...

Armadillo [edit]

Nice atmosphere and very friendly.  Very good food, with a good selection and variety on the menu.  Very popular among gringos.

Restaurante Clarooscuro [edit]

Cozy restaurant in the Zona G.  Very good selection - something for everyone.

Teriyaki 69 [edit]

Not just limited to Japanese food - there is a wide selection of Asian food.  I'm not a big fan of sushi but friends of mine that are say that it is very good. more..

La Biferia Steak House [edit]

Typical selection of various meats, etc.  Rather mixed results here.  Some found the food good, for others the beef was rather tough.

In my opinion, one of the best restaurants in the Zona G.  Good selection and variety on the menu.  more..

All variety of pastas and meats.  Typical Italian comfort food.

Hard Rock Cafe [edit]

Typical Hard Rock Cafe food - overpriced, overcooked and half-assed service.  If you're looking to check a block, then by all means, go.  Otherwise, there are so many more, better places to eat in the city. more..

George's Autentico BBQ [edit]

Typical Colombian casual, comfort food - heavy on the meat.  Several locations in the city.  If you don't have a lot of time but want something filling, this is a good place to go.
