A Columbia beaches intro is just what you need to know the best places to go to enjoy the hot sun, sandy beaches and clear, warm water. There are a number of beaches situated along the Columbia coastline that will appeal to singles, families, couples, honeymooners and seniors. The following beaches are just a few of dozens of beautiful places to visit in this breathtaking South American country.

Tayrona Beach

When you envision a typical Caribbean beach with palm trees and the like, you are picturing Tayrona Beach. Tayrona National Park is a tropical paradise that is home to multiple beaches that are all secluded and get you away from the hustle and bustle of the city. One of the most visited parks in Columbia, Tayrona Park is home to humid rain forests as well as  a number of cabins and camping zones which are ideal for a weekend getaway.

Rosario Islands

Not only do the Rosario Islands offer visitors the beauty of a classic tropical beach, this cluster of islands off the coast of Columbia are home to a wide variety of sea life. So, if you are traveling with children or you are interested in what lives beneath the surface, the Rosario Islands is the place for you. One of the many highlights of this popular tourist attraction is the impressive oceanarium. While participating in a guided tour along multiple platforms situated above the clear water, you can view dolphins, sharks and much more. The Rosario Islands also features the Museum of Marine Life. Exhibiting a wide variety of indigenous fish species and marine mammals as well as algae, corals, reptiles and crustaceans, the Rosario Islands is the perfect vacation spot for families.

Providencia Island

You've more than likely seen this island in pictures. Whether on a calendar or a poster, Providencia Island is a secluded beach that is the epitome of the Caribbean. Snorkeling and diving are the best ways to experience the natural beauty of this island, and both services are readily offered by shops and hotels in the area. One of the few remaining Caribbean Islands that has yet to see the booming tourist industry, Providencia Island's beautiful beaches are undeveloped and pristine. Being so secluded, the island is a bit difficult to get to but is definitely worth the effort. The most efficient way to get to Providencia Island is by plane or boat, both services are offered on the mainland or off of San Andreas Island.
