Getting There
Edit ThisAkamba/Scandinavian
Edit ThisThere are two major bus companies in Uganda travelling to Nairobi and elsewhere. One is the Scandanavian, the other is the Akamba. Both are well known, and trustworthy as much as that can be said... lol... The Scandanavian is more reliable than the Akamba, but does not do night trips, which saves time as u can sleep instead of having a rather long, hot, and tiresome journey during the day. The Akamba does both.

There are connections with all neighbouring countries. Road access from Kenya is good roads to Rwanda are currently being improved. The Uganda/Rwanda border is closed at weekends.
There is some question as to whether border crossing may be made at the border of Uganda/Sudan and at Uganda/DRC. Both of these crossings are dicey and you will need to ask around to see if they are open and if you are able to cross there. As of July 2006, it is possible to cross from Uganda to Sudan (New Sudan) and from Uganda to DRC at Kasese. Please be advised that the more..
