Kilimanjaro international airport is 40 minutes from Arusha towards Moshi. It is served by i.a. KLM, Ethiopian airlines and South African Airways. Domestic flights to Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam and various air strips in the national parks start from Arusha airport, west of the city.
There are buses leaving to all over the country and international buses directly to Nairobi (6 hours). Impala Hotel runs minibuses which go twice daily to and from Nairobi. From Arusha they start at 8 and 14 hours.
