Plan Sudan

In 2003, all internet cafes in Kassala closed, but in 2004 the NGO Plan Sudan opened an educational centre on "Police Street" (the road leading from the main square past the police station) in the Muraba'at area of town, which included a small internet cafe, which opened when electricity allowed. There were rumours that internet would return to other places in Kassala, but by the end of 2004 that had not happened.
