Winter (Johanessburg's Summer)

During the winter season, Johannesburg hosts the International Mozart Festival, a commemorative celebration of the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  This celebration is held during the last week in January and continues through the first week of February.  The focus of this festival is to educate and entertain attendees about the classical music genre.  Local and international artist and composers conduct nightly symphony, recital, and chamber concerts.  This celebration also includes a symposium that encompass a wide variety of musical  genres.  There is an admission fee to attend this event, and tickets can be purchased though computicket.com.

Spring (Johannesburg's Fall)

Summer (Johanesburg's Winter)

If film is an interest of yours, the Encounters International Documentary Festival is an event to enjoy. This is a ten-day event held during the month of June that showcases films from around the world.  Attendees can also attend workshops for experienced as well as novice filmmakers. Fall (Jahnnesburg's Spring)
