You will drink, dance and meet new friends. The music in the clubs depends on the crowd. The Bang Bang Club is one of the modern club around with a nice bar and dance floor which is open during weekends. Different themes are done on the other days of the week. Secure parking is readily available. It is located at Loop Street.

Bossa Nova

Bossa Nova is a club where you can enjoy various music from Wednesday to Saturday night and Salsa on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is located at Somerset Road, Greenpoint. On Fridays, entrance is free for before 10.00 p.m. and thereafter ladies pay 30 Rands and gentlemen 50 Rands. On Saturdays, entrance charges begin at 9.30 p.m.

Karma Lounge

This beach bar is very popular with tourists and found in Camps Bay. The setting is unique with local South African decor. There are 2 bars to choose from, outside or inside. There are all kinds of music played here, depending on the time and mood of the revelers. It is open from Wednesday to Sunday. They usually check identification to ascertain age.

Tin Roof

This club is for the ones who love a place with lots of people, and you will find most of the young people here. The bar area is very big and efficient. The dance floor is big and music is also very entertaining. The entrance is free of charge.

Cocktail Bars:

Baraza

This is an African bar found at Camps Bay. You will enjoy a variety of cocktails during sunset and into the night. The place is open from midday to very late at night.

Cafe Vespa

Cape Town nightlife should include this cafe which has a fire to warm yourself in the evenings. It is near Kloof Street and you will enjoy your drink while viewing the mountain and bay. It is open from 9.30 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. and entrance is free of charge.

Bar & Lounges:

Cubana

This bar has a Cuban setting and is the place to have your drink. Here you will get all kinds of beer, spirits and mixers. The bartenders know how to mix drinks. They also have night shows and good music.

Oblivion Wine Bar

A wine bar which serves all kinds of wine (vintage, South African, European), this place is for people who prefer a quiet Cape Town nightlife evening. It is a great place to meet new friends and sample the various wines at the bar. You can also order tasty freshly cooked food. 

Cape Town does not shut down for the night. After dark a whole new Cape Town comes to life as bars and disco's open. The Waterfront, Sea Point and lower Cape Town are good places to look out for an interesting bar or club.
