Cape Town is a stunning tourist destination and remains unparalleled when it comes to its beaches. Being surrounded by the 2 oceans, namely the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean, Cape Town Beaches offer the best beach experience that you cannot have elsewhere in the world.

Muizenberg Beach

Muizenberg Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Cape Town. An ideal place for sunbathing, this beach is great for surfing and swimming as the waves here are gentle enough to make your experience smooth. You will find plenty of people trying out surfing here. Lined with a bunch of colorful beach huts, this beach has a picture-postcard beauty. Besides, this beach is a hit among kids for the amusements like putt-putt golf and water slides. Muizenberg Beach also has an array of good restaurants and snacks bar nearby, which makes it an ideal destination for family vacationers.

Blouberg Beach and Big Bay Beach

Blouberg Beach is a wonderful long sandy beach with hypnotic natural beauty. This beach offers a splendid view of Table Mountain. Because of the large waves created by the Cape’s southeast winds, this beach is ideal for kite-surfing and windsurfing. Near to this beach is located another beach known as Big Bay where a surfing contest takes place every year. Not far away from Big Bay is Little Bay Beach which is perfect for spending some quality time with your family while relaxing.

Milnerton Beach

To the north of Cape Town is located another beautiful beach of South Africa called Milnerton Beach. Famed for the magnificent view it offers of Table Mountain and Robben Island, this beach is popular among surfers. The most admired water sport held here every week on Wednesday during summer is Downwind Dash, a surf ski race. Besides, this beach has a 69-foot high lighthouse which is worth a visit.

Camps Bay Beach

Camps Bay Beach is another long sandy beach in Cape Town. Lined with a row of swaying palm trees and a broad grassland, this beach is an ideal spot for a picnic. Besides, this beach has enormous ancient boulders and sedimentary rocks dating back some million years. Due to its fascinating natural scenic view, this beach is frequented by film makers and professional photographers. In addition, Camps Bay Beach is dotted with plenty of food kiosks and restaurants and you can rent deck chairs and sun umbrellas.

Clifton Beach

Clifton Beach, composed of 4 coves, has the beaches named as 1st , 2nd , 3rd, and 4th . The 4th beach is the most popular and crowded. Because of its natural splendor and picturesque beauty, the 4th beach has earned the reputation of a ‘Blue Flag Beach.’ This beach is also famous for offering the best sunset view.

Don't leave Cape Town if you haven't taken a coastal north toward houtbay, stop in a little place called Noordhoek beach. A huge stretch of white sand, pounding surf and the best sunsets you'll ever get to see in your life. But go in a large group for safety. Also try your hand at flying a kite... awesome place.
