Description
Outamba-Kilimi National Park is a stunning medley of expansive
grasslands, enveloped woodlands and a stretch of other genres of lush,
dense woods. Outamba and Kilimi are two distinct areas with a huge mass
of land bifurcating the forest patches. Outamba sports grasslands and woodlands and a more closed
canopy forest look and Kilimi is an expanse of comparatively open
grasslands that are easier to figure out and are frequented by a lot of
travellers. The River Idrissa that plays host to tourists visiting
Outamba is a pleasant sight to catch along with hundreds of rare birds
and animals inhabiting this rugged and unpretentiously rough park.

There is no tap water or electricity in the park, however there are a few multi-functional camps that offer basic albiet clean accomodation options along with cooking arrangements and a decent visitor center. Visitors can also book one of the quaint and attractive thatched huts that adorn the riverside and request for cooking facilities. The huts can cost you around $4 a night.
Outamba-Kilimi National Park presents a gamut of nature viewing activities and gives you a wild account of nature’s glory minus fancy amenities.
