Fregate island Travel Guide

Fregate Island is the granitic island furthest away from Mahe . It is accessible by plane, helicopter or boat. A five star resort was opened there in 1999. It has spectacular beaches and Anse Victorin in the northwest was voted by London's Sunday Times as the world's best beach. In earlier days Fregate is said to have been a haven for pirates.
