Marie Antoinette

Edit This

This restaurant is in an old Creole house on the outskirts of Victoria, on Mahe.  Try their delicious family-style Creole meal of parrotfish, tuna steak, barracuda, fish stew, chicken curry, battered aubergine, salad and rice.  Over coffee, Mama and her Sri Lankan born daughter may come and sit with you for an interesting chat about food, travel, and world politics. La Digue Island Resort

Edit This

A two- or three-star hotel on the beach on La Digue (A fairly averge-looking place where the rack-rate is US$400 for half-board in a beach-front cabana!). We sweated in the shade by the modest pool, and ate a very modest lunch of two fruit juices, a pizza and some chicken wings, which set us back a more than modest US$40.
