Tigo and MTN
Edit ThisIf you planning on spending any length of time in Rwanda and have a laptop or iPhone consider buying a SIM card from MTN (you need a cell phone for this method to work) or a USB modem stick from MTN or Tigo. These 3 choices will allow you to use 3G anywhere in the country, and roaming is quite cheap once you get set up. Both MTN and Tigo offices are located downtown, and will answer any questions you have and get you online if you are having any trouble.

Free Internet Cafes
Edit ThisThere are several places in Kigali that offer free internet, provided you bring your own laptop or other internet ready device. Bourbon cafe in the UTC center right downtown is one of them. A cool spot that is quiet, spacious and not far from UTC is Shokola, just 50 meters from Milles Colines hotel.

Internet Cafes
Edit ThisThere are many internet cafes where you pay by the hour, just look for the signs posted outside. One centrally located cafe that is well known, is Blues Cafe just next door to the UTC going up the hill; just ask if you can't find it. The Post office next too Novotel, in the Kayciru neighborhood also has internet by the hour.
