Getting There in WarriEdit This
If you are planning a business trip to Warri, getting there is one thing you are going to have to plan well in advance. Warri is located in Delta State in Nigeria. The city has a population of over 1 million of which most are Christian. The people of Warri are mainly the Ijaws, Itsekiris, Urhobos and some people of other ethnic groups. One thing you will notice when you travel to Warri is the “Pidgin English” spoken my many of the people there.
Warri is served by the Osubi Airport, which is also commonly known as the Warri Airport. The airport is located in the town called Osubi, which is not too far away from the city. You can take either the Aero Contractors or Arik Air to get to Warri. These are the two airline companies that operate regular commercial flights to Warri. You will, however, need to get to one of the major cities in Nigeria to get a connection flight to Warri.
Driving to Warri from one of the cities in Nigeria is not impossible; however, this could take a long time. The roads in Warri have considerably improved with all the major road developments. If you are planning to drive, you will need to have a good car and a map or a GPS to get you to Warri.
Warri also has a sea port, which is mostly used for export and import. There are some local boats that operate on the main river in Warri. Using these boats to get to Warri might not be a good idea, unless you are a local.
