The Gida Makama Museum

Accross the street from the Emir's palace this is one of trhe more interesting museums of west africa. The staff is really helpful but does expect a tip at the end of your visit.

French language and cultural centre.  To learn French, but also to watch French TV or read some magazines / books.  Live shows and exhibitions, lectures...  A safe and clean place to relax, where you are always welcome by the competent staff always ready to assist.

Emirs Palace

Located at Kofar Mata Gate at the edge of the old walled city.

Central Mosque

Of limits for non-muslims, the Central mosque is located close to the Palace. It is a modern structure.
