Edit ThisSultan's Palace
Edit ThisIf you want to meet a real Sultan, this is your chance. Although you are not allowed in the palace - it's the Sultan's house - you can be received by the Sultan in one of the first courts. Compared to his colleague in Zinder the Sultan is not well off, but you can try to help him close the gap, because his guards do expect a tip after your audience.

Mosque
Edit ThisThe tower of the mosque is the best point for orientation in Agadez. It is one of the typical Sahal strcutures you can also find in Mali. You can enter the Mosque and climb the tower which gives you a good view over the town and on good days of the Air mountains.
You are not allowed to enter on Friday mornings.

Old City
Edit ThisThere are quite a few old Hausa houses in Zgadez as well, although Zinder is a better place for this. Walk through the narrow streets and ask for 'les belles facades' - French for pretty houses.
