Hiking the Fish river canyon is a absolute must for avid hikers. It presents unique challenges in terms of weather, terrain and distance. It is not easy but with the right planning it is well worth the effort. Usually very dry and hot, water is everything. In the early winter after good rains, water makes the hike longer becasue the river has to be crossed several times.
