Haven La Chance Desert Hotel is located by the sand dunes near Hassi Lybed- 4 km north of Merzouga village. It is owned and operated by an American and a local Berber so the hotel strives to be modern and clean while preserving local architecture and building materials. It has 10 double/triple bedrooms with 7 having ensuite shower/toilets.

It is called Haven La Chance as the complex is  quiet and secure without a lot of locals hanging out.  Within the complex are several "Khaimas"- nomad tents where folks can sleep under the stars. There are other showers/toilets outside for the tents and also for Campers as space is provided for RV's and caravans.

Camel excurions into the Sand dunes are also organized here for a special adventure overnight!!

Meals are typical Berber food and prepared to order- so Mint tea is served while you wait.  Dinner and Breakfast are included are there are not many restaurants in the area

Special Fetes with Mechui -Baby lamb roasted in an adobe oven accompanied by G/nawi music is arranged for groups of 10 or more. With a campfire blaring and the stars shining- this is an exotic occasion.
