After you have spent the day seeing the sights and the night has fallen, you should check out one of these Casablanca bars and cafes.

Rick's Cafe

Located in Old Medina, the piano bar and restaurant bears a strong resemblance to the bar in the famous film Casablanca. This cafe has all the architectural features of classic Morocco: curved arches, stenciled walls, and brass lighting. Rick's Cafe is a favorite among locals and tourists. Reservations are strongly recommended and be advised that Rick's has a very strict dress code.

La Sqala

Fountains and gardens keep the ambience casual and relaxing. It is rumored that you can get the best couscous and tajine at La Sqala. Located in Old Medina, the building was constructed in 1769. Patrons have a choice of dining indoors or outdoors.

La Bodega

If it is loud music, tapas and Spanish wine you seek, then La Bodega is the place for you. Fun and friendly, La Bodega is open Monday through Saturday from noon until 1:00 am. Upstairs, the house band plays everything from Spanish flamenco to rock and roll, while downstairs a disco lets you dance the night away.

Le Balcon 33

On the Boulevard de la Corniche, Le Balcon 33 appeals to the younger locals of Casablanca. The music and dancing are terrific, however, if you are not eating at Balcon 33, you will have to pay a large fee to drink and dance.
