Bars and Cafes in CasablancaEdit This
After you have spent the day seeing the sights and the night has fallen, you should check out one of these Casablanca bars and cafes.
Located in Old Medina, the piano bar and restaurant bears a strong resemblance to the bar in the famous film Casablanca. This cafe has all the architectural features of classic Morocco: curved arches, stenciled walls, and brass lighting. Rick's Cafe is a favorite among locals and tourists. Reservations are strongly recommended and be advised that Rick's has a very strict dress code.
Fountains and gardens keep the ambience casual and relaxing. It is rumored that you can get the best couscous and tajine at La Sqala. Located in Old Medina, the building was constructed in 1769. Patrons have a choice of dining indoors or outdoors.
If it is loud music, tapas and Spanish wine you seek, then La Bodega is the place for you. Fun and friendly, La Bodega is open Monday through Saturday from noon until 1:00 am. Upstairs, the house band plays everything from Spanish flamenco to rock and roll, while downstairs a disco lets you dance the night away.
This restaurant offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere overlooking the ocean in which to meet and mingle with friends and family. La Fibule has a full bar and serves traditional Moroccan and Lebanese cuisine.
Le Diplomate Bar
Located in the Le Royal Mansour Meridien Hotel, Le Diplomate Bar is very stylishly Moroccan with wood paneled walls, tiles, and sofas', the ambiance is intimate and casual. Enjoy drinks while listening to Moroccan music.
Located in the trendy Boulevard de la Corniche in Ain Diab, this bar is very popular with the thirty something crowd. Enjoy live music and drinks.
Caesar's Club and Cas Bar
Both of these are located in the Sheraton Casablanca. Cas Bar is a sports bar and includes several large flat screen televisions for watching sporting events. After the events, enjoy live music and a dj. Cas Bar is a perfect place to spend time with friends, enjoy a variety of beers and appetizers. If your preferences are to dance the night away, then you should visit Caesar's Club, one of the best discos in Casablanca. Sheraton Casablanca is located in the center of the city.
Le Balcon 33
On the Boulevard de la Corniche, Le Balcon 33 appeals to the younger locals of Casablanca. The music and dancing are terrific, however, if you are not eating at Balcon 33, you will have to pay a large fee to drink and dance.
The Black House Discotheque
This chicly black and red decorated club is located in the Hyatt Regency Hotel Casablanca in the Lobby. Dance the night away from midnight until 3:00 am and while there is not an official dress code, it is a good idea not to dress too casual.
