A nice excursion can be a trip with a prirogue on the river. If you make a somewhat lonegr trip, you can visit nearby villages (Kaladoga e.g.). Go to the Bar Bozo and you will easily find a boat owner willing to take you. Dusk is a good time.boats on the Niger, near Mopti
