Lifupa Lodge - Kasungu National Park

Lifupa Lodge is located in the centre of the Kasungu National Park on the shore of the Lifupa dam 65km west of Kasungu town. Facilities at the lodge consist of 16 ensuite roundavel-style chalets with grass-thatched roofs and individual verandas looking out onto the dam. Food is served in the main restaurant building, which also contains a cosy bar and a beautiful upper wooden deck, ideally situated for game viewing and bird watching on the dam.

The lodge also has a large camping site with a spacious lounge area, self-catering kitchen facilities, barbecue site and ablution block. Safari tents and bush huts set up on the dam shore offer alternative accommodation providing a special bush atmosphere. Elephants come regularly to the dam in the dry season and can be watched closely from the Lodge. The dam is also the permanent home to Hippos, Pukus and a large, diverse bird population.
