Edit ThisThe Raphia is a quaint little family run hotel. The rooms are small, but clean and some offer good views of the city. The narrow staircase that leads to the rooms on the upper floors is a problem for tall, awkward people like me, while the small toilet under the stairs on the third floor is worth a visit. Shared facilities are cleaned daily by a friendly little maid who just missed out on being a dwarf, and the hotel has hot, running water. The top floor has a communal lounge area with panaramic views over Tana. Cost is from 75,000Fmg per day. Breakfast is available and can be more..
