Anakao is a small fishing village located south of Tulear (Toliara).
It is best reached from Tulear. A bus can take you to a small village on the river delta when a boat can be taken accross the Canal de Mozambique. A truck will then take you to Anakao. This whole journey can be organised and paid for in Tulear. There are a few beach side places to stay for cheep just south of Anakao (5 min walk along the beach).
