Al Khums (Arabic: الخمس ) is a town in Al Murgub District on the Mediterranean coast of Libya.[1] Between 1983 and 1995 it was the administrative center of the Al Khums District.
Approximately 3.2 km (2 miles) to the east is the ancient Roman city of Leptis .
