Monrovia Travel Guide

Named after United States President, James Monroe, this is the capital of Liberia. We recommend getting out of town to Sapo Park as quickly as possible. Kendeja 16 km down the coast from Monrovia used to be an interesting daytrip. Beaches and artisans, descendants of those brought forcibly to the village many years ago in order to create a crafts center.
