Lake Naivasha Country Club
Edit This
This used to be a first rate place to stay, since flying boats stopped here in the 1930s.
After spending three happy visits enjoying good food we were shocked, shaken and disappointed when an inside job robbery from locked rooms during our 4th visit (over breakfast) ruined our stay. What made it worse was that the then management (Manager: Gomeri Kombo, Company: Kenya Hotels Ltd) pretended to care but did nothing to recompense us or replace our lost camera and computer. We were palmed off for over 2 months giving them the benefit of the doubt before writing this. Security is no longer important, sadly, and it seems foreigners may be particularly targetted since 2 locked rooms with foreigners in were targetted at the same time whilst others who had laptops etc with them on business trips were OK.
Great location and lovely place (particularly good food) if you don't mind about security!
Sadly we have to say please avoid for your own good. (David Rowbory, resident in Nairobi.)
