If you’re planning to spend a lot of time visiting the sights around Lake Naivasha, you should consider staying on the lake. There are many affordable places as well as upper-end resorts.

If you want to camp or  stay in an affordable banda(cabin) , try Fisherman’s Camp (Cel 0726870590 Landline 020 2139922 ) You can camp for KSh  500/-per person per night and tents are available to rent. There’s also self-contained bandas with four beds available for KSh 1300/-per person on weekdays and 4000/- for the Banda at weekends, or dorm beds for KSh 700/-. Fisherman’s Camp has a central building complete with a bar and restaurant. The area is beautiful, so even if you’re not staying, check it out some afternoon. One word of warning, if you do want to camp over a weekend you may be over run with partying teenagers from Nairobi, although they are now actively discouraged.The restaurant now has great food and a wood fired Pizza oven so check it out. 

 

There are a few upper-end places as well. Sopa Lodge offers singles/doubles but we do not have the current prices, though definitely up market. Facilities are nice, including a gym,  swimming poo and conference facilities.

There’s also the Lake Naivasha Country Club , part of the Block Hotels chain. The grounds are beautiful, with all the facilites of Sopa and Simba lodges.
