If you are sick of staying in Hotels, Bolga offers a unique alternative: Vopac , some 8 km from Bolga has guestrooms in local family compounds, beautifully painted. If you go there, don't miss a night sleeping on one of the roofs, as the stars are amazing (mosquito net provided). If you want to stay longer, you might want to cook for yourself and ask them to use their kitchen facilities. Otherwise, Anderra, a local woman, prepares  delicious T.Z. and breakfast. Ask well in advance though. There are no fixed prices, but a donation is appreciated and used fully for community more..

This is a good place to stay, cheap meals ($1.50) and accomodation, a bar with good, cold beer.
