Bars and Cafes in Sharm el Sheikh

Soho Square Ice Bar

Soho Square Ice Bar

Being a luxury resort city, Sharm el Sheikh has developed a great reputation for fantastic, one-of-a-kind bars and cafes. Most places will wrap you in over-the-top extravagance, similar to that which Las Vegas is known for. Colored lights, excellent music and other stylistic elements directly related to the theme of the bar will make you feel like you are in another world. From cozy traditional British pubs, founded by the ex-pats of Britain in Sharm el Sheikh, to large chic cafes with cool colors and ambient lights, you will find a bar or cafe to fit your style.

Prices and Hours

In Sharm el Sheikh, unlike most areas, the alcohol is actually more expensive than the food. Being in Egypt, however, the overall price of food and drinks is quite inexpensive compared to the prices in other countries. A bottle of beer at a bar will cost you about 2.5 euros and a cocktail will cost around 3 euros. A single bottle of wine can cost you 10 euros or more. Prices of alcohol in a supermarket are much lower.

Most cafes during the day turn into bars at night, while most daytime bars change into clubs for the evening hours. Many bars stay open all night long to please the demanding party-going crowd, while others focus on the afternoon happy hours in order to catch tourists, who have been diving all day long and are on their way back to their hotels for the evening.

British Bars and Cafes

There are a large number of British ex-pats in Sharm el Sheikh who have been opening up pubs and cafes typical of their country. Beer and pub grub, including fish and chips, are the specialties of these places, and soccer and other sports like rugby are consistently shown on usually big screen televisions. The Tavern is one of these pubs. The beer isn't that cheap, but that's to be expected because it's imported. The Camel Bar is another bar for Brits abroad. The beer is expensive, as well, and English soccer is the main attraction. Cafe Picasso, on the other hand, has pretty inexpensive food and friendly people. Located next to Aqua Park, Papas Tavern caters to the mainly European residential area that surrounds it, playing music from the 70s and 80s and serving European food.

Unique Bars

Soho Square is expensive, but has an incredible collection of bars and cafes with stunning themes. Try out the Mandarin Bar with its cool, modern style and ambient lighting that changes throughout the night, or enjoy the futuristic sounds of the Oxygen Bar. For a crazy experience that will help you escape the heat in Sharm el Sheikh, you must go to the Ice Bar. The walls, chairs, tables, bar, and even the glasses are made of pure ice! The room is kept at a chilling 5 degrees below 0. Luckily warm clothing is included in the experience. Cafe Chino, also in Soho Square, is a sandwich and coffee shop as well as a cozy cafe bar that is open all night. It's the perfect place to go after a long night of partying.

Farsha Cafe in Sharm El Sheikh: Magical place to visit

Farsha Cafe is definitely one of the most beautiful chillout cafés in the world, located in Hadaba, at the slope of a cliff overlooking a lighthouse and with the most amazing views over the Red Sea and Ras Mohammad. As you descent the winding stairs down to the cafe you cannot help having your breath taken away by the beauty of the place and the sea below it with the boats, the restaurants around the cafe, the lighthouse, the beach.  The Cafe is really a very romantic place, with lush oriental carpets, futons and cushions laid out within a movie like setting straight from more..
