Sakkara, Memphis, Sphinx and Pyramids Day tour by ETL Egypt Travel Link
The day will be a full day tour to visit Sakkara, 28 Km southern to Giza, where you will see the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the first pyramid has been built in Egypt, then to Memphis, the first capital of Egypt where you will see the huge statue of king Ramses II lying on the ground losing his arm. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Continue to Giza to visit the Great Pyramid of Cheops which was built by manual labor. It is the largest of the three main Pyramids and it is the only survivor of the Seven Great Wonders of the Ancient World, the Pyramid of Chephren, which is the best preserved, and the Pyramid of Mycerinus. Nearby see the Sphinx, a marvelous sight carved out of a natural rocky outcrop, the lion’s body stretching 45m, with its paws 15m long. Learn how paper was made in the ancient times with a visit to the Papyrus Institute followed by a short visit to a Perfumery workshop.
