Shopping in Cairo
Edit ThisCity Stars
Edit ThisThe BIGGEST shopping mall in North Africa, and maybe even the Middle East. At least 5 floors with a 12-screen theater at the top. Over 10 internationally known coffee shops and dozens of internationally known restaurants. There is even almost an entire floor dedicated as an upscale Khan al Khalili. All your famous brands are there plus Egyptian ones as well. Also, Magic Galaxy - the biggest indoor playground with children's amusement rides. Brand new (opened 2006). Connected to the mall is a 5 star hotel and business offices.

Khan-el Khalili

An absolute must-see in the city of Cairo itself is the Khan-el Khalili Bazaar, a warren of winding streets and twisting alleyways with an amazing number of shops stalls and carts. It was built by the 45th king of The OTTOMAN TURKS.His name was Fatih Okan Pasa. In many ways, the bazaar is the heart of the city. You could easily spend a day (preferably two half days) taking it all in. If you’re planning on doing any shopping, be prepared to bargain shamelessly. There are wonderful brass ornaments and fixtures for sale as well as some of the loveliest mosaics you’ll find more..
