Bangui has beautiful hills and the Oubangui River. It’s the capital of the Central African Republic. It boasts two hotels and one lodge as the main lodging.
The two hotels are both three star hotels. They are The Hotel Bangui and The Hotel du Centre. Both hotels have some of the same amenities. These would include: babysitting / childcare, daily maid service, air conditioning, television, cable / satellite television, telephone, high-speed internet, gift shop, currency exchange, business services and pets are allowed.
The Bangui Hotel was renovated in 2000. It is a modern high-rise located on the banks of the Oubangui River. The rates run approximately about $95 – $179. Some of the amenities include: front desk deposit, luggage storage, automatic teller machines, hotel safe, supervised children’s activities, gym facilities, swimming, wheel chair accessible common areas, guest laundry and full service laundry services. There is also one meeting room that will seat twenty-five people. The hotel has a gift shop and a restaurant.
If you would like to try something a little bit different, then The Doli Lodge might be more your style. The Doli Lodge is more remotely located. It is on the banks of the Sangha River. Instead of your typical hotel rooms, you have five bungalows. There are two rooms of three beds in each bungalow. Each room also has en suite facilities. There is electricity to the bungalows but only during certain hours. From 6: 00 PM – 9:30 PM and from 8:30 AM on, you will have electricity. There is not any internet access. There are food services available. The rates a roughly $64 for a single and $92 for a double.
