The main dialect is akosse but most people speak English as it's the official language. Bangem is famous because of the twin lakes found at the summit of the Manenguba Mt above the Mbat village. Contrary to other areas in the province, Bangem area got a cold mild climate throughout the year which attract tourist. The landscape is a mixture of savannah and rainforest.
