You'll need to take the time to contact different agencies before you arrive with tour plans in mind. Be sure to only work with licensed and properly certified tourism agencies, as a number of scam or artificial companies of this type exist as well.
Tour Buses
A limited number of tourism companies operate in the Gaborone area. These are mostly the same companies that can provide private car services as well. Tour buses depend entirely upon the number of travelers to the area, and most of the year is low in terms of tourism. Generally, the spring and fall are the higher points in terms of tourism and general traveling, so it may be easier to find tour buses in operation at this point in time.
It's unadvisable to take any other forms of transportation around the Gaborone area. Unfortunately, tourists are oftentimes the victims of scams, robberies and worse, so it's always necessary that you maintain a sense of caution while traveling in this area.
