Getting Around

Djougou is small enough to get around on foot. However, when staying in a hotel just outside the city, most zemidjans will take you there for a small fee.

As everywhere in Benin, a lot of motorbikes function as taxis. They are called zemi, which is short for zemidjan. In Djougou you can either stop them in the street, or go to a zemi stop, where a lot of them are together.
