Batna Travel Guide
Edit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and seeBatna is located in the east of Algeria, not far from Constantine and the Tunisian border. Although the town has little to offer, it is a good base for visiting Timgad, and Balcons de Ghoufi.
Batna was first constructed by the French in 1844, as a military camp, in order to protect the roads running into Sahara. The setting is nice, and with an altitude of 1,038 metres, the climate is great especially in the hot summer months.
